A three peaks walker had fallen slightly behind his companions during their descent from the summit of Ingleborough. Whilst jogging to catch them up the walker tripped, fell and sustained a fracture to his left leg. His foot had become significantly misaligned. INCIDENT 41/2022 JUN 18th SAT. 12.13 ROWTEN POT, KINGSDALE, NORTH YORKSHIRE – ANIMAL INCIDENT
A sheep was reported as being stuck on a ledge about 10 metres down Rowten Pot. CRO team members descended into the pothole and found a rather strong and lively lamb that seemed keen to evade capture. The footpath across the top of Malham Cove crosses a wonderful area of limestone pavement, comprising large blocks of bedrock called clints, separated by deep cracks known as grikes. A Three Peaks walker (m, 60) was reported to have collapsed (believed to be in cardiac arrest), just on to the summit of Ingleborough, having climbed up from Chapel le dale. Members of his own group administered CPR until paramedics arrived by North West Air Ambulance.
