A walker (f, 26) was reported to have ‘fallen and passed out’ on the ‘Settle Loop’ of the Pennine Bridleway, above Langcliffe. Two team members and the YAS ambulance crew were able to reach the casualty in CRO 4, the team’s Honda Pioneer. INCIDENT 16/2021 – May 14th Fri. 20.21 – Near Winskill Stones, Langcliffe, North Yorkshire. – Mountain Incident

A visitor (m, 22) was scrambling along a ledge on Langcliffe Scar, near Winskill Stones, when he slipped and fell about 2m. He landed on both feet but injured both lower legs. Team members worked with YAS paramedics to treat the injuries and provide some measure of pain relief, before stretchering him about 150m to the waiting road ambulance. INCIDENT 69/2018 – Dec. 22nd. Sat. 15.10hrs – Below Lower Winskill, Langcliffe, North Yorkshire – Mountain Rescue

A walker (f, 46) slipped on mud, on the path from Lower Winskill down to Langcliffe, hearing a ‘snap’ as she injured an ankle. Having given her pain relief, team members put the patient into an insulated casualty bag then carried and sledged her on a Bell stretcher down to the top of Pike Lane, Langcliffe.
