INCIDENT 47/2020 – Aug.8th Sat. 19.04hrs – Snow Falls, Ingleton – Mountain Incident

A visitor (m, 12) was reported to be ‘fainted, unconscious’, just below Snow Falls on the Ingleton Waterfalls Trail. He was later reported to have regained consciousness and complained of abdominal pain. YAS paramedics and those, plus a doctor, from the North West Air Ambulance attended to the casualty, before team members carried him, by stretcher, to a waiting road ambulance. In warm and humid conditions, a Three Peaks walker (m, 39) became exhausted – unable either to walk or to stand – and experienced occasional cramps on the approach to the summit ridge of Whernside.
