Yorkshire Ambulance Service asked the team to assist a walker (m, 74) who had collapsed on the Three Peaks route above High Birkwith. Despite the best efforts of family members, other walkers, team members, and the Yorkshire Air Ambulance crew, the casualty could not be resuscitated. Our thoughts are with his family and friends. The team was contacted by Yorkshire Ambulance Service regarding a male walker (72) who had collapsed while out walking with a party of friends. Team members and vehicles attended at the incident site, as did Yorkshire Air Ambulance, YAS, and North Yorkshire Police. A member of the public reported a sheep stuck on a ledge in a disused quarry near Ingleton. The team gave the sheep an opportunity to self-rescue. When it did not do so, team members attended and, having discussed the situation with the farmer, set up a rope rescue system.
