The team were called by North Yorkshire Police to assist a walker (f,64) attempting the Three Peaks walk who had gone over on her ankle and could not weight bare. After an assessment by team RRMTs we splinted her ankle and stretchered her down to Kingsdale, before transporting her to meet her friends in Clapham who took her to hospital for treatment. Yorkshire Ambulance Service asked the team to assist a walker (m, 74) who had collapsed on the Three Peaks route above High Birkwith. Despite the best efforts of family members, other walkers, team members, and the Yorkshire Air Ambulance crew, the casualty could not be resuscitated. Our thoughts are with his family and friends.
