A visitor (m, 60), with known medical conditions, was suspected of having a possible heart attack after climbing the steps into the Battlefield Chamber at the extremity of White Scar Cave. Team members, the two fire officers and a police officer attended and the patient was found to be conscious and breathing. A Border Collie dog fell 25 or 30m from the top of Giggleswick Quarry, landing on a ledge which is covered in loose rock. NYF&RS’s Settle firefighters attended, then members of CRO were called.
