A visitor (m, 77) with a known heart condition experienced chest pain on reaching the top of the stairs into the Battlefield Chamber, the most remote part of the show cave. Use of the medication he carried with him had no effect so the cave manager asked North Yorkshire Police to call CRO. A visitor (f, 20) slipped at the far end of White Scar Cave, sustaining a lower leg injury. Show cave staff assessed and treated the casualty’s injured leg and moved her to within 300m of the cave entrance. An visitor (82, f) lost consciousness whilst going the through lower cave section past the steps. Paramedics from Yorkshire Ambulance Service entered the cave to commence casualty care. Team members then stretchered the casualty to the YAS ambulance at the cave entrance. Volunteer hours:30
