CRO were called to assist a walker who had reported himself stranded in high winds on Whernside. Further investigation by CRO team leaders and use of a computer based “phone find” tool placed the walker on Great Whernside, near Kettlewell and not on the “3-peaks” Whernside within CRO’s operational area. While taking his human for a Boxing Day walk on the Ingleton Waterfalls Trail, Meatball, an Irish Wheaten Terrier, fell about 10m into the river just upstream of Pecca Bridge.
