INCIDENT 75/2022  SEP. 13th TUE. 12.16 PECCA FALLS, INGLETON WATERFALLS TRAIL, NORTH YORKSHIRE – MOUNTAIN INCIDENT

YAS called CRO and the Yorkshire Air Ambulance following a report that a visitor (m, 78) had ‘passed out’ and was ‘in and out of consciousness’ at Pecca Falls on the Ingleton Waterfalls Trail. The first of two team Land Rovers took several members across fields towards the casualty site, then drove the YAS paramedics from the helicopter down to near the refreshment hut. The paramedics then took over assessment and care of the patient, who had previous experience of low blood pressure. Team members helped the walker onto a Titan stretcher and carried him up to the second Land Rover. This drove him to the helicopter for the flight to hospital and a more thorough assessment. The walker’s wife was given a lift back to their car, then the team stood down.
