incident 19/2026. APRIL 6th MONDAY 13.23hrs. OTTERBURN, HELLIFIELD, NORTH YORKSHIRE

The team were alerted by our partners at Yorkshire Ambulance Service (YAS) to an incident involving a cyclist (M) who had apparently suffered a medical episode. Ambulances had been despatched and we were requested to back up. The team were rapidly alerted but as we were meeting at our depot we were stood down by YAS.   Volunteer hours 4

INCIDENT 76/2022  SEP. 15th THU. 11.34 BANK OF RIVER RIBBLE, SOUTH OF HELLIFIELD, NORTH YORKSHIRE – MOUNTAIN* INCIDENT

An angler (m, 76) slipped down the river bank, South of Little Plantation, near Hellifield, sustaining a back injury.  YAS paramedics were first on scene and assessed the patient, before CRO team members helped him on to a Titan stretcher and carried him to the road ambulance.  He was helped into the ambulance and team members stood down. *Footnote: Although a river bank at 120m O.D. is hardly ‘mountainous’, the…
