The team were alerted by our partners at Yorkshire Ambulance Service (YAS) to an incident involving a cyclist (M) who had apparently suffered a medical episode. Finding himself short-handed after a mountain biker (m, 38) was dismounted in a collision with a tree near Hesbert Hall, the team leader of Bowland Pennine MRT called CRO for support. Team members attended and when NWAS paramedics had assessed and treated the casualty, who had been unconscious and had sustained suspected arm and collar-bone fractures, they assisted with carrying him to the road ambulance.
