The team were called by Yorkshire Ambulance Service (YAS) to assist with a medical incident involving a young infant (F, 7 months) in Horton-in-Ribblesdale village, the family having been out walking locally. Local team members were despatched and a vehicle deployed from the the Team Depot in Clapham. On arrival of members at the scene the child, now apparently well, was being attended to by YAS paramedics in an ambulance.…
A couple were walking on the field path from Lambert Lane to Upper Settle, with their dogs, when a group of young cattle began running towards them. The walkers scrambled into a different field to avoid the beasts, but the man (53) fell and sustained a knee injury, so that he could not walk. YAS paramedics attended, giving pain relief and splinting the injured leg but were unable to move…
A local man (78) collapsed while walking in fields near Selside with members of his family. Sadly, despite the prolonged efforts of paramedics from two road ambulances and an air ambulance, he could not be revived. Team members recovered him, by stretcher, to a road ambulance. …
