Incident 69/2026. October 27th Tuesday 14:19hrs, Foxup

Due to a road closure affecting access, Yorkshire Ambulance Service (YAS) had requested MRT assistance in gaining access to a local person having a medical issue at Foxup.  The call initially went to Upper Wharfedale Fell Rescue Association (UFWRA) as the incident was within their area of operation.  However, the road closure meant that it would be faster for CRO to attend, so UWFRA contacted CRO and handed the incident over.  CRO1 was despatched with a small team on board, with CRO3 following up to provide additional support, and if necessary, be used to transport the casualty if needed.  CRO1 attended the casualty location where a team Remote Rescue Medical Technician (RRMT) provided initial casualty care whilst CRO1 left the scene to provide transportation for the YAS DCA crew who were currently impeded by a weak bridge undergoing remedial construction works.  Fortunately, a member of the construction crew advised that the bridge was safe for the DCA to cross so both DCA and CRO1 headed to the casualty site.  After further assessment by the YAS paramedics, additional Air Ambulance support was requested.  YAAS Helimed 98 was deployed and was on scene some 20 minutes later.  After further treatment, the casualty was then transferred to the YAS DCA and conveyed to hospital by road.
