INCIDENT 50 /2025. JUNE 14th SAT 14.24hrs. OCCUPATION ROAD, DENT, CUMBRIA

INCIDENT 49/2025. JUNE 10th TUE. 14.03 hrs. MALHAM COVE, MALHAM, NORTH YORKSHIRE

A walker (m, 72) became unwell after climbing almost to the top of the steps up the side of Malham Cove. After assessment by YAS paramedics, he was walked very gently back down with support from team members. Accompanied by the paramedics, the walker was returned to the road ambulance in CRO 2 (team Land Rover) for further assessment and the team stood down Volunteer hours 21  

INCIDENT 48/2005. JUNE 4th WED. 10:59hrs JACKDAW HILL, Nr HORTON IN RIBBLESDALE, NORTH YORKSHIRE

The team were called by North Yorkshire Police to assist a local farmer with a sheep trapped in a small pothole. A small team met the farmer at the location to be confronted with a large sheep that was firmly wedged in a narrow shaft. INCIDENT 47/2025. MAY 28th WED. 11:00hrs HORTON SCAR, Nr HORTON IN RIBBLESDALE, NORTH YORKSHIRE

A local farmer contacted one of the Assistant Controllers to request assistance with one of his lambs that had fallen down a small pothole off Horton Scar Lane. After alerting the Duty Controller, the Assistant Controller went up with the farmer to assess the situation so that a rescue could be arranged. Later that afternoon a small team headed up Horton Scar Lane to the pothole and one member descended…
