Whilst the team were deploying to Incident 45 we received a second call from North Yorkshire Police to a walker (m,25) who had fallen whilst scrambling near to Langscar Gate, near Malham Cove. Some team members already on route to the previous incident were diverted to this new incident, whilst more assistance was requested from members who did not deploy initially.
After an assessment by team RRMTs he was placed in a Vacuum Mattress and transported the short distance across the fell in a stretcher to the waiting Yorkshire Ambulance Service road ambulance for an assessment and transport to hospital. The team then returned to base to re-pack the vehicles from both incidents.
