INCIDENT 54/2021 – JULY 31st SAT. 13.03 – APPROACHING SUMMIT OF WHERNSIDE, INGLETON, NORTH YORKSHIRE – MOUNTAIN INCIDENT

A Three Peaks walker (m) was reported to have dislocated a knee high up on Whernside.  As members were assembling near the Blea Moor aqueduct, the air ambulance was able to land close to the casualty and effect his rescue with assistance only from other walkers already on site.  Team members stood down. A walker keyed 999, telling North Yorkshire Police that two other walkers were calling for help, that he was on the Swine Tail and that he was heading towards the pair to investigate. INCIDENT 50/2021 – JULY 18th SUN. 15.30 – B6479 road, near HORTON in RIBBLESDALE, NORTH YORKSHIRE – LOCAL INCIDENT

CRO team members, on route to incident number 49, were among the first on scene after a traffic incident on the B6479 about half a mile north of Horton in Ribblesdale. They found a motor-scooter rider lying in the road – no other vehicle was involved. INCIDENT 49/2021 – JULY 18th SUN. 15.10 – WHERNSIDE, NORTH YORKSHIRE – MOUNTAIN INCIDENT

A 34 year old female, taking part in a three peaks walk charity event, was reported to be suffering from heat stroke – feeling faint, with cramps and getting worse. The walker was on the ascent of Whernside, not far from Greensett Moss and in the company of event marshals.
