North Yorkshire Police asked for CRO’s assistance following a report that a group of Three Peaks walkers could not locate one of their members who had become tired and had agreed to wait for the others while they finished the route. While the duty controller was speaking to the police to obtain further information, the group called back to advise that they had found the missing walker. Volunteer hours: 1

A three peaks walker (m, 59) collapsed on the steep path onto Ingleborough at Humphrey Bottom. Almost immediately, his wife began CPR and this was continued by paramedics from the North West Air Ambulance, when they arrived. The first CRO members on scene found that paramedics from a YAS road ambulance were also in attendance. INCIDENT 22/2023 APR. 25th TUE. 11.26 PATH FROM PIKE LANE, LANGCLIFFE TO LOWER WINSKILL, LANGCLIFFE, NORTH YORKSHIRE, MOUNTAIN INCIDENT
A walker (f, 65) was reported to be feeling dizzy and unable to walk further on the steep path above Pike Lane, Langcliffe. Having been on the ground for a while, she tried, unsuccessfully, to stand again, so NYP was asked to call CRO.
