A visitor (f, 40) fell on the return leg of the Ingleton Waterfalls Trail, sustaining leg and head injuries. When the ambulance crew members were unable to find her, YAS called the CRO Duty Controller. Team members soon found the casualty, assessed her, provided pain relief and carried her by stretcher to the YAS road ambulance for the hand-over. Volunteer hours: 33
A visitor (f, 17) was reported to have fallen and twisted her ankle on the return leg of the Ingleton Waterfalls Trail, between Baxenghyll Gorge and Snow Falls. Team members carried her to the family’s car and gave her into the care of her parents. Volunteer hours: 21
A walker (f, 26) was reported to have ‘fallen and passed out’ on the ‘Settle Loop’ of the Pennine Bridleway, above Langcliffe. Two team members and the YAS ambulance crew were able to reach the casualty in CRO 4, the team’s Honda Pioneer. A Three Peaks walker (f) was reported to have broken an ankle, between High Birkwith and Old Ing, North of Horton. A small team went to investigate, with other members asked to show their availability. When the team Land Rover arrived on scene, the casualty was already in a YAS road ambulance, so everyone was stood down. Volunteer hours 6.
