The Team were called by North Yorkshire Police to assist 3 walkers (all F, 67,68,70) who had become disorientated in poor visibility and darkness on the summit of Ingleborough. The walkers, who had fading torchlight and phone charge wisely decided to call us and stay put where they were. We were able to pinpoint their exact location using our PhoneFind tool, and a small party was despatched to find them.…
Four Three Peaks walkers reported themselves lost on the descent from Ingleborough to Horton in Ribblesdale. Initial attempts to pinpoint their location with W3W and phone find were unsuccessful due to limited phone coverage, however they were able to provide a grid reference which enabled their location to be established. As the team started to assemble the lost party were able to locate the path and continue their journey safely.…
