A walker was reported to have broken his ankle after tripping on the return leg of Ingleton waterfalls walk. A walker (f, 74) fell on the rough surface near the top of Long Lane, Clapham, experiencing significant pain when she tried to stand. Having had both hips replaced in the past, there was concern about possible injury/damage. INCIDENT 11/2021 – Apr. 15th Thu. 14.47 – Whernside, Ingleton, North Yorkshire. – Mountain Incident

A paraglider pilot (m, 54) launched from the summit ridge of Whernside, but immediately landed heavily, 200m down-slope, injuring his right ankle. As the first CRO members scaled the hill, the North West Air Ambulance landed on the ridge. Paramedics scrambled down and packaged the patient before team members, assisted by passers-by, carried patient and team stretcher up to the aircraft.
