The team were called upon by Upper Wharfedale Fell Rescue Association (UWFRA) to potentially assist with an ongoing rescue they had in Goyden Pot. A number of members were placed on stand-by but were ultimately not deployed as UWFRA were able to resolve the incident successfully themselves. A good outcome for our neighbours and partners at UWFRA.
CRO was asked by our colleagues in Upper Wharfedale Fell Rescue Association (UWFRA) to assist with a search for a missing person in and around the Nidd Gorge near Knaresborough. A team from CRO attended and joined several other mountain rescue teams in searching areas of potential interest, but the missing person was not located. Volunteer hours: 47
YAS called CRO after a walker (f, 53) fell and sustained a shoulder injury on the path from Gordale Bridge to the Malham Rakes road. NYP called for assistance following the disappearance of a visitor (f, 44) believed to be at risk. As members waited at the RV point, the NPAS (Police) helicopter crew reported sighting the misper, sitting on a hill-side and apparently unharmed, about a kilometre from the point where she had last been seen.
