North Yorkshire Police received a call from an obviously distressed Three Peaks walker (f, 32) who said she was lost on Ingleborough. The sound quality was very poor, then the call dropped out altogether. A sheep was reported to be seriously injured at Gordale Scar, between the two waterfalls. Investigation by a team member found it to be one of this year’s lambs with a wound, but no obvious fractures. It was lowered gently down to other members, waiting at the foot of the waterfall climb, and taken to Gordale House for attention by the farmer. Volunteer hours 14.
