The team were contacted about concerns for a walker doing the 3 peaks who was 2 hours overdue, having not returned home at the expected time, and had also not responded to messages to his phone. Alert only – Feb. 16th Sat. 15.07hrs – Roaring Hole, Chapel le Dale, North Yorkshire – Alert only

Two cavers were reported to be ‘trapped’, two hours after entering Roaring Hole, near Southerscales, Ingleton.  Ten minutes later they were reported to be on the surface and walking back down to Chapel le Dale, so no further action was required. Alert only – July 8th Sun. 23.11hrs – 3 Peaks Walk, North Yorkshire – Alert only

A caller was concerned when two walkers didn’t return at the scheduled time from attempting the 3 Yorkshire Peaks walk. The last contact with the walkers said they were ‘lost’ and at least 2 hours from their car. Initial attempts to locate the walkers using the ‘Phonefind’ facility did not work, so a team member set off for Horton in Ribblesdale (the usual starting point for the 3 Peaks walk)…

Whilst Incident 66 was still in progress, another call was received from North Yorkshire Police, reporting a walker doing the three peaks overdue. The reporting person was concerned that the lone walker (f,33) was an hour and a half overdue at Horton in Ribblesdale.
