Three walkers (f, f, f) were reported overdue on the Three Peaks Walk, possibly on Ingleborough. With no instructions on what to do and the only phone they knew about going to voicemail, relatives did an internet search and found a commercial walking guide. The team were contacted about concerns for a walker doing the 3 peaks who was 2 hours overdue, having not returned home at the expected time, and had also not responded to messages to his phone. Whilst initial enquiries were being made, the walker made contact, having been delayed by winter conditions on the tops, and guiding two other walkers who were unsure of the route.   Volunteer hours: 15…

Alert only – Feb. 16th Sat. 15.07hrs – Roaring Hole, Chapel le Dale, North Yorkshire – Alert only

Two cavers were reported to be ‘trapped’, two hours after entering Roaring Hole, near Southerscales, Ingleton.  Ten minutes later they were reported to be on the surface and walking back down to Chapel le Dale, so no further action was required.
