INCIDENT 75/2025. SEPTEMBER 11TH THURS. 14.16hrs PATH Nr BAXENGILL GORGE, INGLETON, NORTH YORKSHIRE.
The team were called by Yorkshire Ambulance Service to a walker (f, 38) who had slipped on the path whilst walking round the Ingleton Waterfalls Trail, sustaining an injury to her ankle and lower leg. Upon arrival on scene the team found that the YAS Paramedics had already treated the casualty and just required our assistance with a short stretcher carry back to the waiting ambulance. ALERT ONLY. SEPT 11th THURS. 12.30hrs KIRKBY FELL, nr MALHAM, NORTH YORKSHIRE. ALERT No 13 OF 2025
The team were called by North Yorkshire Police to assist a farmer rescue a cow stuck in marshy ground on Kirkby Fell. As the duty controller was gathering more information about the incident the farmer called back to report that they had been able to free the animal. No action required by CRO
INCIDENT 74/2025. SEPT 6th SAT. 1244hrs. WHERNSIDE SUMMIT, CHAPEL-LE-DALE, NORTH YORKSHIRE
The Team were alerted by North Yorkshire Police to a walker (F, 52) in difficulty on Whernside summit. She was suffering from an aggravated hip problem, which was preventing her from walking further. The Team deployed to upper Kingsdale from where we were able to make a rapid ascent up the western (‘rear’) side of Whernside, including access for our ATV to the upper slopes.
