The team were called by our colleagues at Yorkshire Ambulance Service to assist with a walker (M,20) who had injured his ankle whilst walking near to Malham Cove and was unable to continue. Having established his exact location as close to the Dales High Way bridleway, the team were despatched. Members were quickly on scene, assisted by our Ranger friends from Yorkshire Dales National Park. Following assessment and treatment, the casualty was transported back to his vehicle in Malham village. He and his friend were given advice and then made their own way home to seek further medical assistance. We wish him a speedy recovery.
Our thanks go to the National Park Ranger team for their assistance on this incident.
