A three peaks walker (m, 59) collapsed on the steep path onto Ingleborough at Humphrey Bottom. Almost immediately, his wife began CPR and this was continued by paramedics from the North West Air Ambulance, when they arrived. The first CRO members on scene found that paramedics from a YAS road ambulance were also in attendance. A walker (m, 65) fell (possibly 3 – 4m?) from the climb up the lower waterfall at Gordale Scar. On arrival, team members began assessing the casualty’s injuries before being joined by a YAS paramedic. Although only a head injury was obvious, as a precaution, the casualty was placed, very carefully, into a vacuum mattress (immobilising the whole body) and this into an insulated casualty bag.
