A visitor (f, 69), with a known medical condition, climbed the steps at the side of Malham Cove, but collapsed on reaching the top. When team members arrived, she had recovered significantly. After assessment by YAS paramedics, the patient was carried by stretcher to an air ambulance which flew her down to Malham for transfer to a road ambulance and the journey to hospital for further assessment.
