Yorkshire Ambulance Service called CRO for assistance, following a report of a walker (m, 30) who had collapsed and was experiencing difficulty in breathing, below Beezley Falls on the return leg of the Ingleton Waterfalls Trail. INCIDENT 03/2023 JAN 22nd SUN. 14.05 DESCENT PATH FROM WHERNSIDE, INGLETON, NORTH YORKSHIRE – MOUNTAIN INCIDENT
A walker (f, 37) tripped and fell, head first, on the rocky first section of the path from the summit ridge of Whernside towards Bruntscar. YAS sent their rapid response vehicle and an air ambulance, then called CRO. They were joined, later, by a road ambulance. The air ambulance being first on scene, the pilot flew up towards the cloud base and deposited his paramedics about 100m from the casualty.…
INCIDENT 96/2022 DEC 28th WED. 14.18 PATH FROM TWISLETON HALL TO BEEZLEYS, INGLETON, NORTH YORKSHIRE – MOUNTAIN INCIDENT
A walker (f, 46) slipped, sustaining a knee injury, on the steep muddy path from Twisleton Hall to Beezleys Farm which connects the two arms of the Ingleton Waterfalls Trail. Having confirmed the location, a small team of CRO members went to assist the YAS paramedics in transporting the casualty to the road ambulance. Volunteer hours: 5
INCIDENT 89/2022 NOV. 19th SAT. 12.26 BAXENGILL GORGE, INGLETON WATERFALLS TRAIL, NORTH YORKSHIRE – MOUNTAIN INCIDENT
A walker (f, 54) slipped and heard a loud crack from her ankle while walking the return path of the Waterfalls Trail through the Baxengill Gorge, Ingleton. Her husband reported the suspected ankle fracture to North Yorkshire Police, who called CRO. Having assessed the injury, team members gave pain relief, splinted the injured leg then carried the casualty on a wheeled stretcher to the team Land Rover. This took casualty…
