A climber (f, 32) fell from one of the routes on the lower quarry face at Storrs Common, sustaining lower leg injuries. A YAS crew was on scene and an air ambulance was en route when the CRO Duty Controller was called. Paramedics having treated and ‘packaged’ the casualty, team members transported her to the road ambulance on a CRO wheeled stretcher. Volunteer hours: 15
A pregnant ewe had been seen on a ledge on the former quarry at Mealbank, but was left for a day or two to find its own way off, as it became hungry. On a wet and overcast day on the Ingleton waterfalls walk, a 73 year old man slipped off the path – falling and tumbling about 20 metres down into the river Doe near to Snow Falls.
