A walker (f, 23) sustained an ankle injury on rough and boggy terrain, so that she was unable to put weight on her injured leg. A companion rang the Police for help and CRO team members responded. NYP received a report of an orange flare over Ingleborough and asked CRO to investigate. Although doubtful that anyone would be in distress, given how few walkers carry flares and the other methods of communication available, these days, controllers recorded the registration marks of vehicles parked around the hill.
