INCIDENT 45/2022 JUN 21st  TUE. 15.50 FLUTED HOLE, NEWBY MOSS, NORTH YORKSHIRE – ANIMAL INCIDENT

A member of the public reported having seen a lamb stuck down a pothole on Newby Moss and provided a grid reference for the location. A small team of CRO members undertook a quick search of the general area and located the lamb, marooned down Fluted Hole. A walker observed a sheep in the bottom of the entrance shaft of one of the Pillar Holes and e-mailed the CRO Secretary, asking whether he knew who the farmer was and whether he could be contacted to investigate.
