A member of the public reported having seen a lamb stuck down a pothole on Newby Moss and provided a grid reference for the location. A small team of CRO members undertook a quick search of the general area and located the lamb, marooned down Fluted Hole. We descended the hole on ropes and the lamb was soon captured, hauled back to the surface and returned to liberty well away from the edge of the pothole.
