INCIDENT 06/26. JANUARY 17TH SAT. 13:55 HRS. WHERNSIDE, CHAPEL-LE-DALE, NORTH YORKSHIRE

NYP contacted the team regarding a collapsed walker (m, 51) with central chest and arm pain on the ascent of Whernside. A full team callout was made and CRO2 and 3 were mobilised to Ribblehead.  Team members were collected there and transferred to the aqueduct, while three swift team members were sent ahead with medical equipment. INCIDENT 03/2026. JANUARY 4th SUN. 13.40 hrs PATH BETWEEN HALE LANE AND OXENBER WOOD, AUSTWICK, NORTH YORKSHIRE.

A walker (f, 72) slipped on the field path below Oxenber Wood, near Wood House, Austwick, sustaining a very painful ankle injury. After assessment, pain relief and splinting of her leg, she was lifted onto the back seats of CRO 4 (Honda Pioneer) and driven to Feizor to meet the YAS road ambulance. INCIDENT 02/2026. (SAME DAY) 13.16 hrs TOP OF MALHAM COVE, MALHAM, NORTH YORKSHIRE.

A walker (m, 70) was unwell on the limestone pavement at the top of Malham Cove. A Community Safety Officer and a team member were first on scene and the casualty appeared to be recovering. However, after initial assessment, they handed over to the YAS paramedics from YAA, who decided to fly him direct to hospital, rather than down to the village, where a road ambulance was waiting.
