The team were called out at 23.50 hrs on Saturday evening by Cumbria Police for an overdue party of nine cavers (7f and 2m – 19 to 22 years) in County Pot, a popular entrance into the Ease Gill system. North Yorkshire Police asked the team to assist a walker (m, 53) who had slipped and injured his leg descending the track from Pen-y-ghent toward Hull Pot. Team members used CRO4, the team’s all terrain vehicle, to reach the casualty who was conveniently right beside the track.
