Yorkshire Ambulance Service asked for CRO’s assistance following an accident where someone (f, 51), sledging down a slope, collided with a wall, sustaining a serious ankle injury. A runner in the Three Peaks Race (f, 50) sprained an ankle on the descent from Pen y ghent towards High Birkwith and was understood to be ‘one mile from Birkwith’.
