The Team were alerted by North Yorkshire Police (NYP) to a walker (F, 26) who was having difficulty descending from Whernside summit due to a painful knee injury. Contact with the walker indicated she was descending the path towards Bruntscar slowly, assisted by a companion. An expeditioner (f,15) sustained an ankle injury while walking on a footpath over Dean Moor to the North East of Langscar Gate. Fortunately, two of the supervisory staff were members of other mountain rescue teams, so they splinted the injury, gave pain relief and sheltered the casualty in an expedition tent while calling CRO through North Yorkshire Police.
