INCIDENT 96/2022 DEC 28th WED. 14.18 PATH FROM TWISLETON HALL TO BEEZLEYS, INGLETON, NORTH YORKSHIRE –  MOUNTAIN INCIDENT

A walker (f, 46) slipped, sustaining a knee injury, on the steep muddy path from Twisleton Hall to Beezleys Farm which connects the two arms of the Ingleton Waterfalls Trail. Having confirmed the location, a small team of CRO members went to assist the YAS paramedics in transporting the casualty to the road ambulance. Volunteer hours: 5

In the early hours of the morning, Yorkshire Ambulance Service (YAS) asked if CRO were able to assist one of their crews. Their ambulance had become stuck on a track following attendance at a remote farmhouse. Snowfall throughout the night of Friday 9th December was lying several centimetres deep by Saturday morning. That afternoon, a walker slipped and fell on compacted snow on the nature trail between Clapham village and Ingleborough Cave. INCIDENT 91/2022  DEC 1st THU. 13.24 ALUM POT, HORTON IN RIBBLESDALE, NORTH YORKSHIRE – CAVE INCIDENT

Having descended through Lower Long Churn into Alum Pot, a caver (m, 38) fell a distance of up to 5 or 6m from the bottom pitch, sustaining suspected injuries to ankle, femur, lower back and chest.
