CRO were called out by Yorkshire Ambulance Service to locate and provide assistance to a 79 year old walker who was in difficulty near to the summit of Whernside. North Yorkshire Police received a call to a walker (m) collapsed but conscious, descending from Whernside ‘towards Ingleton’. The duty controller was able to re-contact the caller and established that they were in fact descending towards Bruntscar.
