A young person (f 13) twisted her ankle whilst on a day out on the waterfalls walk with her family. Conflicting reports resulted in YAS paramedics in a Rapid Response Vehicle, a road ambulance and two YAA helicopters plus NYP and 17 CRO team members with two CRO Land Rovers converging on the Snow Falls area of the Ingleton Waterfalls Trail. INCIDENT 63/2021 – AUGUST 18th WED. 12.13 – Nr THORNTON FORCE, INGLETON, NORTH YORKSHIRE – MOUNTAIN INCIDENT
A visitor (f, 29) slipped while stepping from boulder to boulder just below Thornton Force, twisting her knee. After assessment by the team doctor (Sprain rather than dislocation or fracture.), her leg was splinted by YAS paramedics.
