The team were alerted by North Yorkshire Police to two walkers who were ‘stuck’ on the summit of Ingleborough. The team were called out at 23.50 hrs on Saturday evening by Cumbria Police for an overdue party of nine cavers (7f and 2m – 19 to 22 years) in County Pot, a popular entrance into the Ease Gill system. Two underground teams were deployed to carry out a hasty search of the route that had been given. They were supported by surface personnel who set up a communication relay.…
