North Yorkshire Police called CRO after someone, believed to be dead, was seen on the ground beneath Malham Cove. A small team searched a ledge above the site, then the Cove edge itself for personal effects. A walker (f, 58) slipped on the limestone pavement at the top of Malham Cove, sustaining ankle and lower leg injuries. YAS reported that although an ambulance was on its way from Settle, the crew would need CRO’s assistance with a walker (f, 60) who was  unable to stand, feeling dizzy and faint, at the top of Malham Cove.
