A farmer had seen one of his sheep, apparently stranded on a ledge of Mealbank Quarry, on Sunday. He kept trying to tempt her back to safety by shaking a bag of sheep nuts, but eventually asked for CRO’s assistance. A small team set up an abseil and one member descended. Conflicting reports resulted in YAS paramedics in a Rapid Response Vehicle, a road ambulance and two YAA helicopters plus NYP and 17 CRO team members with two CRO Land Rovers converging on the Snow Falls area of the Ingleton Waterfalls Trail.
