A visitor (f, 69), with a known medical condition, climbed the steps at the side of Malham Cove, but collapsed on reaching the top. When team members arrived, she had recovered significantly. After assessment by YAS paramedics, the patient was carried by stretcher to an air ambulance which flew her down to Malham for transfer to a road ambulance and the journey to hospital for further assessment. A climber (m, 30) slipped and fell near the top of a climb, sustaining a serious injury to his right lower leg. His belayer lowered him back to the ground and called for assistance. Team members attended, assessed the casualty, splinted his leg, and then strapped him onto a Bell stretcher (a heavy-duty stretcher with skids underneath). NYP called for assistance following the disappearance of a visitor (f, 44) believed to be at risk. As members waited at the RV point, the NPAS (Police) helicopter crew reported sighting the misper, sitting on a hill-side and apparently unharmed, about a kilometre from the point where she had last been seen. A walker (m) was reported to have fallen and banged his head, on the summit of Pen y ghent. He had passed out, but was now conscious and breathing, although feeling dizzy and unable to walk back down.
