INCIDENT 18/2026. APRIL 4th SATURDAY 13.50hrs, THRESHFIELD QUARRY, GRASSINGTON, NORTH YORKSHIRE

The team were asked by our colleagues from Upper Wharfedale Fell Rescue Association (UWFRA) to assist with an ongoing search for a dog which had fallen into a rift in a quarry. INCIDENT 13/2026. MARCH 7TH SAT 10:29 HRS, PECCA FALLS, INGLETON, NORTH YORKSHIRE.

The team responded to a request from North Yorkshire Police to assist with a dog that had slipped 8 metres down a slope and was stuck on a ledge a few metres above the river. A would-be Three Peaks walker called for help when her Dobermann dog – normally good for hill-walking – went lame in one leg. Having walked over Whernside and Ingleborough, he would go no further on the West side of Pen y ghent. INCIDENT 80/2022  SEP. 29th THU. 12.34 SMALL SURFACE RIFT NEAR GAPING GILL, CLAPHAM, NORTH YORKSHIRE – ANIMAL INCIDENT

A golden retriever was reported to have fallen down a 20′ pot-hole by the path between Bar Pot and Gaping Gill. Two members drove up in the Honda Pioneer, scrambled down the 3m rift and recovered the dog, unharmed. Other members who had been driving up to Trow Gill in a team Land Rover were stood down.
