A German Pointer called Frankie fell into the river, between the ‘Pecca Twin Falls’ on the Ingleton Waterfalls Trail and was stranded on an inaccessible ledge (just below the one on which Meatball was stranded on Boxing Day). While taking his human for a Boxing Day walk on the Ingleton Waterfalls Trail, Meatball, an Irish Wheaten Terrier, fell about 10m into the river just upstream of Pecca Bridge. A dog was reported to have been spooked by an unusual noise whilst walking with it’s owners on a footpath near to Ingleton Quarry. The dog had bolted under the quarry boundary fence and fell about 10 metres down the quarry face on to a ledge. A spaniel fell the 12m into Hull Pot (Described by the caller as “100′ “.) and could be seen moving on the floor of the open Pot.
