A visitor (f, 62) was reported to be experiencing chest pains and difficulty in breathing on the outward (western) arm of the Ingleton Waterfalls Trail, between Pecca Bridge and Thornton Force. INCIDENT 52/2023 JUN. 20th TUES. 10:20 NIDD GORGE, KNARESBOROUGH, NORTH YORKSHIRE. LOCAL INCIDENT

CRO was asked by our colleagues in Upper Wharfedale Fell Rescue Association (UWFRA) to assist with a search for a missing person in and around the Nidd Gorge near Knaresborough.  A team from CRO attended and joined several other mountain rescue teams in searching areas of potential interest, but the missing person was not located. INCIDENT 51/2023 JUN. 19th MON 19:18 GIGGLESWICK SCAR NORTH, CAVE HOLE WOOD, LAWKLAND, NORTH YORKSHIRE. MOUNTAIN INCIDENT

A climber (f, 20) on Giggleswick Scar North fell approximately 4m, injuring her left ankle.  Team members attended and determined that the awkward climbers’ path back to the car park was unsuitable for a stretcher carry.  While one group assessed the injured climber, another group rigged the crag for lowering.  The climber’s ankle was immobilised with a vacuum splint and the climber was strapped into a Bell stretcher.  The stretcher…
