A walker (m, 70) was unwell on the limestone pavement at the top of Malham Cove. A Community Safety Officer and a team member were first on scene and the casualty appeared to be recovering. The team were made aware of a person (m 80’s) who had collapsed on the nature trail. As the team were preparing a response they received a further call to say the person had been brought down to Clapham by the nature trail staff and no further assistance was required.
A Three Peaks walker (f, 41) collapsed near ‘the fingerpost’ at the corner leading on to ‘the miners’ track’ to the summit of Pen y ghent (Taking the clockwise route.). The team were called by Yorkshire Ambulance Service (YAS) to assist with a casualty (m,51) who had become unconscious near the base of Malham Cove. By the time the first team members arrived on scene the casualty was conscious again and being treated by the YAS Paramedics.
