A visitor (f, 20) slipped at the far end of White Scar Cave, sustaining a lower leg injury. Show cave staff assessed and treated the casualty’s injured leg and moved her to within 300m of the cave entrance. However, the profile of the passage was such that they were unable to complete the evacuation. INCIDENT 58/2021 – AUGUST 3rd TUE. 14.44 – BOTTOM QUARRY, STORRS COMMON, INGLETON, NORTH YORKSHIRE – MOUNTAIN INCIDENT
A climber (f, 32) fell from one of the routes on the lower quarry face at Storrs Common, sustaining lower leg injuries. A YAS crew was on scene and an air ambulance was en route when the CRO Duty Controller was called.
