A trail runner fell and injured himself whilst taking part in a 50 mile ultra event that started in Malham village and encompassed the Yorkshire Dales three-peaks. RESCUE COVER FOR THREE PEAKS RACE SATURDAY 30th APRIL
Fifteen team members provided rescue cover for the annual Three Peaks Race, clocking up over 120 volunteer hours, over the day . They based themselves mainly in Horton in Ribblesdale, but with one on Pen y ghent summit and two each on Whernside and Ingleborough summits, co-operating with race marshals and RAYNET radio operators to ensure the safety of the runners.
