INCIDENT 19/2023 APR. 15th SAT. 17.55 SIMON FELL BREAST, INGLEBOROUGH, CLAPHAM, NORTH YORKSHIRE, MOUNTAIN INCIDENT

A Three Peaks walker (m, 41) sustained a particularly painful lower leg injury when he slipped or tripped at the beginning of the path across Simon Fell Breast — the path from Ingleborough to Sulber Nick and thence to Horton in Ribblesdale. He was assessed by the team doctor, splinted and put into an insulated casualty bag. All was then lifted onto a wheeled Titan stretcher and taken gently to CRO 3 (the team’s stretcher-carrying Land Rover 130), waiting near Nick Pot. He was taken down to CRO Base, in Clapham, and re-united with his walking companions who had driven round from their finish in Horton.
